I been building a view into companies based on their job postings. I am hoping it is useful to get a quick snapshot on the company say for interview prep etc. Please be advised that it is still a WIP in terms of data quality. ^ That's what our team said to me initially but we think it's pretty chill now. We built a job search tool that uses investor software to help you discover the most exciting companies to work for right now. Free this week so that you guys can try it out before we hard launch next week (paywall is down). Feedback is our oxygen: What can we do better? Are you gonna give us money? Why do you hate the design?

Hi HN, I got tired of the existing means of finding jobs, so I created a platform that searches company job portals directly for the latest job postings. Originally it was meant for just software engineers, but I've expanded to a larger variety of careers. It's entirely free to use, you can create an account to keep track of the jobs you apply to with the job tracker. I'd love to hear what you all think, and what your experience has been as a job seeker. https://radar.jobs Thanks, Ross

Hey everyone, My wife graduated in 2022 and she was fortunate enough to land an internship at a small startup which then offered her a permanent position. But ever since then she has been trying to find another job as a frontend dev since the current one doesn't offer any growth opportunities. She started looking in 2023 right when the job market started tanking. She's been at it for months with no success as there are little to no junior roles available and she spent most of her day refreshing linkedin to check for new opportunities. At the beginning of this year I had this idea that I…

Tech recruiting and interviewing sucks. So I created https://www.rateyourrecruiter.dev/ to hold recruiters to account. The elevator pitch reads: Interviewing for a role in a highly sought after tech company is broken. Recruiters have incentive to get as many people in for interviews, with little to none (or incorrect) information. Questions often have little to do with on-the-job responsibilities, and are rarely communicated to recruiting and back to the candidate. By having a more transparent process is not only more equitable, but will lead to greater success for candidates…

Hello everyone, I got laid off last year and during the job hunt, I kept running into ghost jobs, these listings that never lead anywhere. Super frustrating. After some point, I started tracking company behavior across job boards. It snowballed into a little web app where you can actually see how companies are hiring — or pretending to. It's free, early stage, UI is a bit rough, but here’s what some info it shows per company: -Job boards they post on -ATS system they use -Median salary by role -Post frequency + how old the listings are -Skills and degree requirements -Track all existing…
