I've been working on Recall for a while now, it had some initial traction in the beginning which has since died down now. I am facing the inevitable question of whether to continue with the project. I’ve spent a lot of time reading articles that promise a lot but never give me what I’m looking for. They’re full of clickbait titles, scary claims, and pointless filler. It’s frustrating, and it’s a waste of my time. So I made a tool. You give it a URL, and it tries to cut through all that noise. It gives you a shorter version of the content without all the nonsense. Inspired by the ongoing call-to-action by the Internet Archive team over at /r/DataHoarder [1], I've decided I want to try to preserve all cybersecurity related subreddits. [2] For people that don't know what's going on: There's a likelihood that the try to monetize the Reddit API will lead to a lot of moderators quitting the platform, and it could be that a lot of subreddits are going to be set on private and/or their threads are going to be deleted. I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?

i built pano because i kept losing the things i actually wanted to come back to. pano is an internet archiving tool that lets you save links into shelves that you can organize and share. the problem for me was never finding things. it was keeping them. research papers, recipes, old blog posts, repos, tutorials, and random sites i found late at night would end up scattered across tabs, bookmarks, screenshots, saved posts, and pdfs. a few weeks later, they were effectively gone. what i wanted was one place where saved links stayed organized, easy to navigate, and easy to share as a collection.…
