Products that do what I made an HR platform, like an e-shop for candidates does

Imagine a reversed recruiting process where recruiters can pick a candidate like selecting a product from an e-shop!

I originally had this as a personal resume site but decided to build it out into a platform where anyone can sign up and host a resume page. Once I build up the talent pool, I plan on marketing to hr depts and hiring managers. I just don't know a single person who's happy with hiring on either side right now and this feels like a better solution to me.

Stack: WASM + Rust + Macroquad I saw that a company had posted a cool job ad where you had to apply directly via a REST API. That gave me the idea to gamify my resume as well. Since I was bored, I vibe coded a bit and voilà, the result was ready. I think it's something new and fun that might put a smile on people's faces. This is the first version of an app idea I had last month as a way to dip my toes into some of the AI APIs. The idea is you can record yourself answering and rehearsing what you'll say to common interview questions, and receive AI feedback on how you did and how you can improve. In the future I may expand into other subject areas, but wanted to scope it to the behavioral interview format for the time being. Super open to feedback and suggestions!

Many people express that despite working hard, they don't feel like they are in the right career. Instead of getting adhoc advice from friends and family or requiring serendipitity/fortune in landing in a desirable career progression, I made a career planning tool which lets you upload a resume or public linkedin profile and see alternative career paths. You can play with your map, explore alternative trajectories, specify a goal, understand job titles, see job listings and more. I am looking to understand what, if any aspect of this tool is useful, and how I would proceed to build upon…

Hey HN, I created an all-in-one platform to help job seekers build their resume, track job applications, and prepare for interviews. I built this mainly because the current tools for job seekers pale in comparison to the tools recruiters use to field candidates. Would love to know what you think!

After reading the book Getting to Yes, I really want some tool to help me negotiate more efficiently without having to memorize everything principle. You start by putting in interests of each party, then you can explore different functions: how to respond to the other party, explore objective criteria out there or brainstorm more negotiation options. Still working on it! Leave me feedback if you have any suggestions!

I've been experimenting with ways to increase AI adoption for non-technical people. Basically, all companies are pushing for AI because it's all over the news and they feel left behind but most people have no clue where to start. I think 90% of people (ie non coders) are sufficiently well served by using cowork instead of claude code or something similar. If we can get people from sales, customer support, marketing, etc to collaborate with skills and cowork to form a company brain, I think it's gold. So I think there's opportunity for the community to share skills that work well for 1000s of…

Inspired by HN posts like this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10890032 we set out to make an onboarding platform that helps teams design and implement effective onboarding workflows. I'm reaching out to the HN community for feedback on our private beta. I'd really like to connect with those that have struggled with onboarding in the past to see if our tool can help. If you're interested in trying the product, tweet at me on twitter @raykanani :) Product link http://www.qrtrmstr.com/

Friends, HNers , countrymen: tl;dr Employee Unions are dead (non-existent in tech). A collective where employees own shares in the company they work for should give a voice to the employees with the management. I am happy to launch Rank And File, a platform for employee activism. Think Institutional Investors but instead of suits, it is employees who own a large number of shares in their own company and act as a collective. R&F aims to provide a private forum for employees to discuss company policies and act as a platform where employees can connect with legal experts and activists who will…
