nightwatch is a local-first, read-only layer on top of your monitoring. it groups alert storm into incidents, flags noisy checks and has an agent that can investigate for you live systems. You can e.g. jump from the incident into the agent directly. the reason for this weekend project is that we had a kubernetes upgrade that went wrong, and at some point a rollback wasn't possible anymore, so it had to be fixed live during the night while several problems came together. Hello HN, I’m excited to share something we’ve been working on: Cloud Troubleshooting Labs. This tool provides on-demand environments for engineers to practice hands-on troubleshooting with AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes. What it does: We use Pulumi to spin up these environments. Each scenario includes a diagram and an explanation of the available IT infrastructure. Engineers are tasked with fixing configuration issues to make the application work. Scenario: Your company’s IT department says “good news, you have access to azure, aws, openai, mistral, and together AI, here are the API keys”. You think “yippee I can access many models”, but some models like the gpt-oss or Mistral are available on some or all of those platforms? That’s where this app comes in: run it and it will check all the providers that you have configured and then you can search across those providers to see which providers have the model you want available. Hi HN! I am an undergrad student trying to build interesting things with AI. Recently, I was looking for a dataset I could use for a new project. I realized that it is really frustrating to go through all the government websites (with terrible UX) just to find some usable dataset. I set out to build a GitHub for datasets, named DataHub. Right now, we have more than 1000 datasets from Montréal and New York City, with more cities coming soon (and possible government agencies). All of this is wrapped into a powerful search.
