hey hn, supabase ceo here this is a postgres connection pooler. it’s similar to pgbouncer, but built with Elixir and specifically designed for multi-tenancy. it’s still under development, but it’s at a stage where we can gather a feedback from the community and you can try it yourself. we aren’t using this in production yet, but aiming to deploy it for a subset of databases in the next 2 months. We have the following benchmarks (details in the readme): - Elixir Cluster maintaining 400 connections to a single Postgres database - 1_000_000 clients connecting to the Elixir cluster - Sending…

We built InsForge because we wanted to use pure prompts to build a production-grade app faster. In practice, AI isn’t reliable enough when generating code or configuring backend pieces like schema, RLS, auth, or functions. Postgres MCP and Supabase MCP are a good starting point, but they felt more like API wrappers for agents than something designed to guide AI safely through backend tasks. So we built our own MCP server on top of Postgres and added a set of context-engineering tools to make prompt-driven workflows more predictable. It gradually turned into a Postgres-based BaaS. Key…

I came up with this idea when I was looking to move to London with a friend. I quickly learned how frustrating it is to trial-and-error housing options for days on end, just to be denied after days of searching due to some grotesque counteroffer. To add to this, finding properties that meet the budgets, commuting preferences and work locations of everyone in a group is a Sisyphean task - it often ends in failure, with somebody exceeding their original budget or somebody dropping out. To solve this I built a tool (https://closemove.com/) that: - lets you enter between 1-6…

We announced our startup pgEdge this morning. We have two options available: pgEdge Platform (self-hosted, fully open) and pgEdge Cloud (managed DBaaS), with the latter in private beta. Take a look and let us know what you think!

Hi HN, We are excited to present you InsForge AI. We quit Databricks, Meta, and Amazon to build *an agent-friendly Supabase alternative*. Why? Because current tools like Supabase make it painful for agents and developers: 1. *RLS enabled by default* → queries fail without policies 2. *Verbose Postgres policies* that are error-prone to write and maintain 3. *Secrets and auth setup* require lots of manual wiring InsForge is an open source project and we provide hosted versions with API access as well. Hey HN, I'm a big fan of the Postgres ecosystem and the reliability it brings to the TS stack. More often than not, the answer to "should I add another piece of infrastructure?" is "Postgres can already do that." I’ve been a long-time user of https://timgit.github.io/pg-boss, but I wanted to take the developer experience (DX) a step further for multi-step processes, especially for AI workflows. I built pg-workflows to provide a fluent API for defining durable background logic. Instead of manually stitching together disparate jobs, you can define your business logic as a clean,…

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!
