(not sure why my previous post didn't appear on Show HN even though I included it in the title, mods please remove if not allowed) Ever applied for a job and never heard back? Many companies just go silent instead of sending rejection emails, leaving you guessing whether to keep waiting or move on. I faced this frustration during my own internship search, especially when there was no real point of contact (automated replies don't count, lol). So, I built didtheyghost.me, a simple open-source tool that crowdsources job application responses. This isn't a job scraper or another job board. It's…

https://mailpilot.chat What is this? A local TUI (like Claude, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode or Copilot) that wraps your agent and sends each turn to an email in a nice format. What does it enable? It lets you email your agents. And them email you. So They Keep Working on the tasks you want, and You go and do What You Want. No need to stay at your desk. Be free. I built this for me, but thought others would find it useful, so I turned it into a product. I want get outside, and away from my desk, but still have the agents work. The accidental killer feature: You can CC your team. If you…

So I spent the last few days building Jobstack. The logic is quite simple. You apply to jobs and you get emails, you trade emails back and forth from interviews, questions and others until the role is either accepted or you are rejected. Also easy to apply to hundreds of roles and not being to know where you stand easily. With Josbtack, you sign up, get a unique email and forward emails to the url. And it uses LLMs to extract company details , tries to find information online about them and presents that to you. Every email you forward becomes part of your timeline with the company. It also…

My friend and I got tired of job hunting (347 applications, 4 responses) so we built AI agents to help job seekers instead of replacing them. The problem: 73% of applications never reach humans, 250+ people apply to each job, but 85% of positions are filled through networking. Our solution: AI agents that find hiring managers for any LinkedIn job, analyze your profile fit, and generate personalized outreach messages. Instead of competing with hundreds in the application pile, you reach decision-makers directly. Technical bits: LangChain + OpenAI for job parsing, Next.js + Supabase, custom…

After years of solo ventures, failed startups, contract gigs, and countless OSS contributions, I've decided to shake up my job search. Instead of the usual LinkedIn grin, CV spam & endless forms, I'm leveraging my GitHub cred to flip the script on hiring. I've created a "Hire Me" GitHub issue template where companies can "apply" to employ me. It's like a reverse job application, and here's why it's cool: 1. Cuts through the noise: Most dev's GH profile speaks louder than resume. 2. Saves time: No more filling out repetitive forms or tailoring CVs. 3. Transparency: All offers are public by…
