I have been working on this for a while. Main goal was to build a usable programming language. I even end up building few tools for this such as IntelliJ plugin, etc. I also plan on building some games with it in future. Main use case would be: small games (raylib), tools (static linux binaries with musl-libc) and recreational programming (wasm4). Works in Windows also. Hello HN, I don't post on here much, but wanted to get some eyes on a new project I'm just launching. I think we definitely need one more AI code agent.. I'm a long-term C++ dev, and over 30+ years I've created some successful audio dev tools (JUCE, the Tracktion DAW, the Cmajor DSP language). This is a hobby project of mine that I started a few years ago to learn about programming language implementation. It was created 95% without AI, although a few recent commits include code from Gemini CLI. I started out following Crafting Interpreters, but gradually branched off that until I had almost nothing left in common. Tech stack: Rust, Cranelift (JIT compilation), LALRPOP (parser). Hi, everyone! I built SHDL (Simple Hardware Description Language) as an experiment in stripping hardware description down to its absolute fundamentals. In SHDL, there are no arithmetic operators, no implicit bit widths, and no high-level constructs. You build everything explicitly from logic gates and wires, and then compose larger components hierarchically.
