Hi HN, I want to share with you an IntelliJ plugin I have developed and launched. Based on my own needs, I wanted a plugin that monitors my coding practices and gives me stats about them in order for me to improve on them. So, here is Kasama: An IDE plugin that works like a sport fitness tracker, gathering data on: - your coding sessions, i.e. how long are you active in the IDE and for which project - your activity in different modules, and how the activity is split between test code and prod code - your version control (git) interactions: how often you commit, the lifespan your branches,…

Hey HN! I'm Louis, one of the creators of Vibe Kanban. We started working on this a few weeks ago. Personally, I was feeling pretty useless working synchronously with coding agents. The 2-5 minutes that they take to complete their work often led me to distraction and doomscrolling. But there's plenty of productive work that we (human engineers) could be doing in that time, especially if we run coding agents in the background and parallelise them. Vibe Kanban lets you effortlessly spin up multiple coding agents. While some agents handle tasks in the background, you can focus on planning…

Hi everyone I'm a Notion-addicted person and love to build my own template to cover different aspects of my life, either work or personal stuff. Once, I wanted to build a habit tracker template, and I realized Notion was not the best solution. You can organize it in a much more efficient way just with a pen and a piece of paper. However, the best tool should live on your devices and have a correct structure. Then, I decided to try to build an app using SwiftUI and SwiftData. The goal was to make it a very basic version in one month. But it took me two months. I tried to add only the core…

I have used a lot of habit-tracking apps and most of them are filled with features that are not useful to me, sometimes UI is a mess etc. I wanted to build an app that was simple and useful. I wasn't sure about GPT ability but wanted to give it a try. There was a lot of trial and error, especially in figuring out the logic of the streak counter, which took a lot of time. I have spent some time polishing the UI as well. Although not a perfect app, I think I have a good tracker. I am planning to add more features and would love to know your thoughts and feedback. Thanks

Hi HN! After ~9 months of development, I published my very first app to the App Store. It's called Checker, a habit/goal-tracking app that uses GitHub-style calendar grids to visualize your progress. It's relatively simple for now but I'll be adding quite a few features in the coming months, like board color themes, Apple Health integration, more widget styles, etc. Hope you give it a try, and if you do, please let me know if you have any feedback.
