Hi, OP here. A friend was involved in a custody battle and was afraid his ex was going to leak all of his discovery documents on the internet and he asked if there was something I could do to make it harder for bots/crawlers to find sensitive information. Originally I was going to turn all of his docs to image based PDFs, but those get large fast and are easy to OCR. So I found a post musing about altering fonts/glyphs so that it looks like english, but the actual character being seen by the pdf reader is a non-english character. Hi When you are learning a new language, you need to practice different skills: reading, listening, speaking, writing. I find writing to be the hardest activity, not least because I have to look up words in the dictionary all the time, and that is a frustrating context switch. Here is an experimental CodeMirror-based editor, that lets you look up translations inline. Hi! I have relatives that speak sign language, and always found it odd that despite unbelievable advances in AI in recent years, the problem still felt somewhat neglected. Especially with the advent of wearable tech; to my knowledge, this is the first project that integrates the meta glasses w/ fingerspelling translation software. As for the technical aspect, I trained a neural net on Google's FSboard dataset modeling a CNN + GRU temporal encoder architecture (trained with CTC), and then decoded the output with CTC beam search and a KenLM language model to solve some of the deficiencies…
