I made this experimental art project/game that's an LLM chat assistant, but where you're the AI. I wanted people to get a visceral sense of what it's like to answer the kinds of things that people prompt their chatbots day in and day out. If you're interested, I wrote up some more info on how I made it, including how the "user" prompts are generated with an eye for realism: https://bethechatbot.com/about Hope you enjoy it! I'd love to hear people's takeaways.

Hey HN, We’re excited to share PySpur, an open-source tool that provides a graph-based interface for building, debugging, and evaluating LLM workflows. Why we built this: Before this, we built several LLM-powered applications that collectively served thousands of users. The biggest challenge we faced was ensuring reliability: making sure the workflows were robust enough to handle edge cases and deliver consistent results. In practice, achieving this reliability meant repeatedly: 1. Breaking down complex goals into simpler steps: Composing prompts, tool calls, parsing steps, and branching…

Hey everyone! we just launched Promptly apps (https://trypromptly.com/), a no-code platform to build generative AI apps and chatbots. We allow users to build web apps and chatbots by chaining LLM APIs (we call processors) from providers like OpenAI, StabilityAI, Cohere etc, without writing any code. We also let users to bring in their own data and store it in a vector database to be used for context augmentation in their apps. Users can import data from a variety of sources including urls, sitemaps, PDFs and other file types Published apps are accessible to app's users via a…

LLMStack is a low-code platform that can be used to build LLM apps, chatbots and integrate AI experiences into existing products/workflows. It comes with everything out of the box that one needs to build LLM apps locally. It can also be used in a multi-tenant setting, making it available for everyone to use in an enterprise. Some highlights of the platform: - Chain multiple LLM models allowing for complex pipelines - Includes a vector database and necessary connectors to help enrich LLM responses with private data - App templates tailored to specific use cases to quickly build LLM apps…

Hey there HN! We're Vivek and Si-Yan from Cartograph (https://cartograph.app). We've built an AI-powered code documentation platform that automatically generates reference documentation and creates a visual interactive map of the codebase that serves as both high level architecture diagram and allows you to zoom in to specific implementations. How it works: We use static analysis to read a codebase and get its symbols and their dependencies, creating a complete map that includes function calls. We use LLMs (Gemini + Claude) to add metadata to this map, as well as augment it in…
