Luna is a Clojure domain-specific language that compiles to regular expressions. It allows developers to write regex patterns using Clojure syntax instead of traditional regex notation. Hello, I'm building a WebAssembly compiler and documenting the process in the meantime. This aims to be a tool for demonstration and education purpose. It doesn't aim to do fancy stuff nor to replace existing ones. I'm building this to learn and to improve and hopefully it can be useful for others as well :) From last time I've presented the idea, I've implemented more basic features on Luna and I've built a custom and tiny runtime for Luna! (documenting it of course). Any feedback is really appreciated :) Repo: https://github.com/thomscoder/luna

Let-go is a Clojure-like language (~90% compatible with JVM Clojure) written in pure Go. It ships as a ~10MB static binary and cold boots in ~7ms - that's about 50x faster than JVM and 3x faster than Babashka. It has decent throughput on algorithmic workloads - within ballpark of the GraalVM-backed sci. I started this project in 2021 as an elaborate practical joke: I wanted to have an excuse for writing Clojure while pretending to write Go. Jokes aside, it turned out to be pretty decent: it feels like real Clojure, it has an nREPL server (supported in Calva, CIDER, etc.), it's easily…

Outlines is a Python library that focuses on text generation with large language models. Brandon and I are not LLM experts and started the project a few months ago because we wanted to understand better how the generation process works. Our original background is probabilistic, relational and symbolic programming. Recently we came up with a fast way to generate text that matches a regex (https://blog.normalcomputing.ai/posts/2023-07-27-regex-guide...). The basic idea is simple: regular expressions have an equivalent Deterministic-Finite Automaton (DFA) representation. We…

I've built a tool called sol (like "soul") that helps you inspect and format complex shell one-liners. Features: - Choose which transformations you want (break on pipe, args, redirect, whatever) - "Peeks" into stringified commands (think xargs, parallel) and formats those, too - Auto-breaks at a given width (e.g., 80 characters) - Shows you non-standard aliases, functions, files, etc. that you might not have in your shell environment - Breaks up long jq lines with jqfmt because—let's be honest—they're getting out of hand As a security researcher and tool developer, I often encounter (or…

This proof-of-concept project combines: - Flutter, from Google; - ClojureDart, port of Clojure to Dart from Tensegritics; and - Matrix, a reactive framework from moi. So, yes, we can now program Flutter with a Lisp. Yay. Project includes dozens of working examples and a full implementation of the TodoMVC classic to help tire-kickers play around. Support installing freely available on the #matrix channel on the Clojurians Slack.

i made an esoteric programming language which i call spellscript. every program is a "spell" written in a "grimoire," and you have to use keywords like summon, enchant, inscribe, and conjure. it's literally read like a spellbook because the syntax consists of all natural language, and newlines are optional. your code can now be an essay, like everybody wants! for example, if you want to print something, you'd write: `begin the grimoire. inscribe whispers of "hello, world!". close the grimoire.` it has variables, dynamic typing, arrays, functions, conditionals, loops, string manipulation,…
