I can't tell if HN is the right kind of place for this stuff anymore since people are so advanced in their use but I thought it was interesting to leverage my existing Go microservices framework and turn it into the core of what would provide tools for an agent cli or whatever beyond that. Extensibility is key. Thought I'd share and get a conversation going.

Colin here, creator of Nub. I’ve had the general shape of this in mind for years. Nub runs your code with stock `node`, augmented with a `--require` preload hook[0] that adds a transpiler (oxc-powered, packaged as a Node-API add-on), registers a module resolution hook[1], and injects polyfills as needed for APIs like `Worker`, `Temporal`, etc. All purely additive, your code ultimately runs using Node’s actual engine & stdlib implementations. Hi all, I wanted to reshare this after some time. I've been working on evolving my service framework into an agent harness. As all of this AI tooling has evolved its become clear to me that agents, services and workflows are part of a core system of operations which would benefit from a single framework. Previously Go Micro only enabled service development. But now it includes Agents and Workflows. What does that mean? Well firstly services which are registered in a central registry automatically become tools for agents. The service endpoints individually become callable tools via MCP.…

Servicer is a CLI to create and manage services on systemd. I have used pm2 in production and find it easy to use. However a lot of its functionality is specific to node.js, and I would prefer not to run my rust server as a fork of a node process. Systemd on the other hand has most of the things I need, but I found it cumbersome to use. There are a bunch of different commands and configurations- the .service file, systemctl to view status, journald to view logs which make systemd more complex to setup. I had to google for the a template and commands every time. Servicer abstracts this setup…

Hey HN! Wasp (https://wasp-lang.dev/) is a simple config language (DSL) and framework for building full-stack web apps. You describe the high-level features you want (auth, CRUD, async jobs, …) using the Wasp DSL, and write the rest of your logic in React, Node.js, and Prisma. We’re focused on simplifying developer experience and ensuring best practices. Everything is open source. Why another full-stack framework? And why a config language/DSL? We were still experiencing a lot of boilerplate (repetitive tasks) using other frameworks—things like duplicating data models…
