Products that do what My 2 evening project - Twitter Playback does
This weekend a well-known comedian was live-tweeting sardonic commentary for a new Lifetime movie. It got me thinking that it would be cool to be able to replay his tweets later so that someone who missed the live show would be able to sync them up with the movie. That, along with the fact that I've had lots of fun on Twitter during big events (like the elections), made me think that it'd be a fun hack to put together a Twitter playback site. www.schmeebs.com I built this site in two days. I tried to make it a fusion of Twitter + Digg in that people will be able to follow certain "domains" of news then be able to see popular stuff from there. Its as real time as it can be at this point. Would welcome any thoughts on it!

The problem is that hash tags are fleeting; Twitter focuses on live results, and we lose track of tweets over time. So I just did my semi-annual "log in to Twitter to see if it's any good yet", and found that in my absence I had followed a few thousand new spam accounts. Sweet. That explains why they emailed me and forced me to change my password last year. Being Awesome, Twitter doesn't have any way to simply toss out all your followers and start from scratch. YouTube is full of quality content but it is sometimes hard to find it so I created a website where you can rate and review channels and that helps you discover new ones. The goal is to make a platform like IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes but for YouTube channels. A friend of mine and I were talking a while back and we realized that it would be cool to run some sweepstakes on Twitter. We put up a sign up page for a while to collect some emails and we got 200 sign ups. Over the past year I uploaded a bunch of videos to my personal channel. Most of them were short documentaries, news-style edits, or content covering current events and war.
