Hey guys, we just launched a platform to match top startups with high end projects. We're focused on supporting startups that would rather take on a short term consulting gig than raising a round of funding. We'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Launch and grow your startup 3-5x faster with the No BS Startup Guide. Get +400 specific tactical activities that you can start doing today, to save 2,000 hours of research, and know exactly what to do every step of the way. I started the guide initially for myself. I posted on reddit over a year ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/q7by8n/the_ul...) and it became super popular. I kept using it and adding to it as I've coached and mentored over 200 founders. After thousands of hours of research and field testing, I am ready to release it.…

In my long career as an “almost digital entrepreneur” (a fancy way to say I’ve tried a thousand things online without making a single cent), I never really felt that “this is it, I’m so close, I’ll finally quit everything and update my passport: job title? SaaS founder.” (Small detail: I don’t even have a passport. But I like to imagine that if I did, I’d want something cooler than “unemployed creative” written on it). For years, I collected side projects, hobbies, half-dead MVPs, and random nonsense, all with the same ending: super hyped at the beginning, burned out in the middle,…

I built a tool (https://1mil.app/hn) to help me test my intuition about various weird business ideas that were on my mind. Initially, I wanted to create a database with 1 million business ideas (hence the name - "1 million opportunities"). But turned out to be a dumb idea already. So instead I built this tool that returns only 10 ideas. It's all based on your input, market + your background. The first release scored on demand only and it gave false confidence. So I rebuilt the the scoring around "winnability": can a solo founder with a specific background "win" against what…

I'm building a startup every 4 weeks. Startup #1 is a service where you can hire a virtual assistant for $2 per task, http://JFDI.ninja. For more about my project: http://4weekstolaunch.com

We created Slash (https://getslash.co/hn) after realizing that todo list apps are hopelessly broken. They're great at making lists, but offer you no help in crossing them off. In fact, they often create even more stress when you're staring at a list 100 items longs. Slash is a task "do-er" that helps you CRUSH your list by focusing on one task at a time. Quickly enter your tasks, hit 'Start', and the window shrinks down to a small always-on-top window that shows your current task and how long you've been working on it. When you're done, hover over the task name and click…

Over five years ago, I started publishing the top 20 trending open-source startups every quarter, based on their relative GitHub star growth — the ROSS Index. It has become quite handy for 60K+ developers, founders, and other OSS fans who have visited it to date. To make it even more convenient, we have just open-sourced its full dataset for 22 past quarters, including the fresh list for Q3 2025, so everyone can play with it — for instance, analyze what happened with startups from the first quarters. Given that in the very first index issue (Q2 2020), 5 out of 20 early-stage startups (n8n,…

I'm trying to get the motivation up to actually finish building out a "real" product, and I found myself needing a "win" to keep my momentum up. So, I hacked out a little one sentence journal app last night. I experimented with a few UI things (e.g.., the autosaving of the sentence for today and so on), so it was a good learning experience also. You can check it out at: http://osod.im
