Hi HN, We are launching Denormalized (www.denormalized.io), a serverless real-time data platform built on Kafka and Pinot. We felt a bit burnt out by the sheer developer toil we faced when building application around the real-time data stack and set out to create a platform to allow small teams to be very productive with realtime data without having to glue together an elaborate system to serve real-time as well as time series queries. Our initial release is a Chrome extension that builds on top of Gmail and Google Calendar. We keep limited trace activity of coding sessions for 30 days to troubleshoot and improve our offering. As I couldn't find a proper web based open source tool that could help me with my bookkeeping, I spend a week to built one myself. It's based on laravel and provides revenue, expenses, travel allowance and depreciation sections. Everything is then merged to an annual statement, that can be exported as a pdf and used for tax filing. It's far away from perfect (no tests yet), but I would be happy to hear what you think about it and maybe find someone to join in.

After ~1.5+ yrs of posting here (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18755996) about webgo, this is an update, the release of v4.0.7. I know a lot of people consider "web frameworks, router etc." a joke/amateur/reinventing the wheel. But I've been able to learn a lot from it and am happy maintaining this package. Hope you like it! Webgo maintains its promise of standard library compliance, and getting out of the execution path asap.
