I built a system that monitors ~200,000 news RSS feeds in near real-time and clusters related articles to show how stories spread across the web. It uses Snowflake’s Arctic model for embeddings and HNSW for fast similarity search. Each “story cluster” shows who published first, how fast it propagated, and how the narrative evolved as more outlets picked it up. Would love feedback on the architecture, scaling approach, and any ways to make the clusters more accurate or useful. Live demo: https://yandori.io/news-flow/

Hi everyone, we developed a tool that can easily tell you the overall sentiment of a message based on a word. For now it’s hacker news only but we think this thing has potential. Whether you’re a startup, solopreneur or product manager, you can track trends with it. We are also planning to add predictive tools and real time analysis. Operationally this tool is a lot cheaper than Sprout Social or other similar solutions on the market. No sign-up required. Just type and see results. I'd love your feedback on the tool's usefulness and any ideas for improvement.

Hey HN! I built TopicRadar to solve a problem I had with staying on top of what's trending in AI/ML without checking 7+ sites daily. https://apify.com/mick-johnson/topic-radar What it does: - Aggregates from HackerNews, GitHub, arXiv, StackOverflow, Lobste.rs, Papers with Code, and Semantic Scholar - One-click presets: "Trending: AI & ML", "Trending: Startups", "Trending: Developer Tools" - Or track custom topics (e.g., "rust async", "transformer models") - Gets 150-175 results in under 5 minutes Built for the Apify $1M Challenge. It's free to try – just hit "Try for…

Hey HN, We analyzed 4,010,957 Hacker News submissions to find what actually makes posts perform well. Key findings: - 93.2% of posts never hit 50 points - Top 1% starts at 270 points - Certain keywords boost engagement by 1000%+ Built a free tool that scores your launch title and predicts viral potential: [link] The entire 4M post dataset is available as a single 700MB .mv2 file if you want to run your own analysis.
