After a weekend of coding, last night I launched a very early-version MVP of Coders Who Care. - The goal of the site is to connect nonprofits with developers willing to donate time to a good cause. I've been working on an app in my spare time for about the past 6 months in between my day job and taking care of my 10 month old daughter. I created https://foundermeals.com as a weekend project, and as part of an internal competition we do at http://www.freshform.com I love the concept, and I'll be ecstatic if the project is funded and can move forward. But I'm curious if I'm focusing too much on my own insane hunt to find the simplest way to cook, or if that appeals to others. So a while ago I was thinking it would be neat to build a site that had the most absolute utility. The idea I came up with was a site to store those little protips that are super useful, if you know them ahead of time. It's free to use and gives detailed info on their pricing, business model, supported business types, available countries, prohibited businesses and high risk business support.
