Hey HN my name is Thassilo, I'm a student and passionate programmer from Germany. I want to showcase Spray, a small C debugger I've been working on for a few months now. Spray has a very simple and approachable interface. Its feature set is limited at this point, but it's already enough to tackle some basic problems. It's very early in development but it has just reached a working state so I'm actually using it now to generate content for my website. The idea is that it should be useful both for generating static files and for generating responses live in a server, which it should be able to do very fast since it all compiles to C code and one memory mapped file.

Hi! I've been building a debugger on my nights and weekends because it's fun, and I personally need a better debugger for my work. GDB and LLDB pain me greatly; we can and will do better! Hi! I've been working on the flipjump project, a programming language with 1 opcode: flip (invert) a bit, then jump (unconditionally). So a bit-flip followed by more bit-flips. It's effectively a bunch of NOT gates. This language, as poor as it sounds, is RICH. Today I completed my compiler from C to FlipJump. It takes C files, and compiles them into flipjump. CJIT started as a hobby project around Fabrice Bellard’s tinyCC and slowly grew into something much more practical. It is now a small portable C compiler and runner that works across Linux, macOS, and Windows, can self host, and is packaged as a single executable. What mattered most to me was keeping the barrier to entry low.
