I'm doing a new Show HN[1] as we have now made this open source, and got some interest in comments in the past few days. We initially built this app for some friends in a co-living community - they were using pen and paper to track who's attending lunch - but it was error-prone. First I suggested a shared Google Sheets or Calendar, but that was also messy to maintain. Eventually, I developed something just for them. I have been working on a new mountain biking app for the last year called Hangtime. It is a free ride computer app that uses a smartphone's GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, and altimeter to track a mountain bike ride. I recently built an iOS app called Settld: Group Restaurant Finder that helps friends decide where to meet by finding restaurants that are roughly equally far from everyone’s location, and displaying information about them. We’ve all been in chaotic group chats where no one can agree on where to eat — this app cuts through that by calculating a “sweet spot” for the group. For 2 people, it’s the midpoint.
