Hi HN! I've just published my small home dashboard project on Github. Hope you like it too and perhaps find it useful as a reference for similar ideas. Overall I'm very happy with the LilyGo e-ink device and I'll probably add a bunch of other features in the future.
Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Open-sourced my minimalistic home dashboard launched in 2023; newer entries below may have overtaken it.

Just wanted to make my first post about something interesting I've been working on for some time. Any ideas/suggestions for new hardware or software I should try out are welcome, though I will only have time for a major overhaul in a month or two where I want to redo and document everything a bit better than how it is currently. Hope this can inspire someone to start their own homelab or give some ideas to already existing ones!

I built a minimal opensource CMS, I use it myself for my blog and for other SaaS. l love blogging, and sometimes I post random thoughts on my blog. The only thing is, I always did it with .md files, which is fine too However, I was excited about the idea of using a CMS that was very minimal and avoiding the option of connecting something like WordPress or other big platforms. Open source (if you want to fork it or contribute) and free to use (unless I see you have a million views haha). Star the repo if you like it!

http://imagestash.org/ Kind of like Instapaper for images. While surfing at home one evening I found the perfect desktop background ... for my work machine. I got to pondering the quickest way to save a random image so I could get to it on all of my devices, got a wee bit carried away with the technical possibilities, and this was the result. I wanted the raw, old skool terminal days of the early internet - BBS, and old green phosphor library comptuers - but running the modern web, with all the bells and jingle jangle whistles (JavaScript, etc). No funding, no VC, just 100% raw terminal fun. Not sure how long the demo will last, but try it out.

I was debating when to post this, but I've been using it locally in a variety of situations for several months and I think it's pretty stable (and usable!). There are more features I'd like to add, but I wanted to see if there was much interest before spending much more time on it right now.

Hello everyone, A couple of months ago I was introduced to Excalidraw and fell in love with it instantly. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't easily save my whiteboards and had to put everything in one whiteboard which started to lag my PC after a while. So I made ExcaliHub. My other half runs a care home in the UK. She was frustrated with some of the remaining paper based processes, and the 'techy' alternatives were off-putting. So we built Care Home Domestic. The project is self funded and has been a fun and exciting journey! It is currently in use at a few homes and feedback so far is really good. There's loads of work still to do, but we've gone out early and aim to be reactive to the feedback of our users.
