TLDR: I made a public only web analytics without signup. Stores views and visitors for 10 days before deleting data. Exactly 25 days ago today I posted here, proud of my new web analytics. Over the past few weeks I've been working on a small application to view trending repos on GitHub. I built the PWA[1] with React, Next.js and GraphQL .. but what's interesting is the application is only using React server side, meaning the client side javascript is only a few lines code adding some event listeners and registering a service worker for offline capability. After months of using Google Analytics I realized only about 50% of people accepted my cookie-popup. I had months of incorrect data for my website. Hi all! I built Spikelog because I kept wanting to track simple numbers over time but every time I looked at proper observability tools, I'd bounce off the setup complexity. I wanted to make something that didn't require a lot of thinking to use.
