Products that do what PineBill – make invoices in the browser (free, no ads, no account) does

Hello everyone, I was tired of bloated invoicing apps, paywalls, and forced signups, so I built PineBill. It runs entirely in your browser: fill in products and customer details on the left, see a live preview on the right, then export/download a PDF. No ads, no tracking, no account. I first shared it on Reddit and got a bunch of thoughtful feedback; it’s now at ~3k monthly active users. I’d love your critiques, bug reports, and feature ideas. Hey HN, I had to create many invoices recently, it was pretty annoying doing the same things over and over. So i created this small tool that work well to create invoice and save them as template for re-usage. the ui is very easy and simple. I hope this tool will be helpful to you as it it to me. ps: you can move around without account Dorian

http://invoiceto.me/ My weekend project was this edit-in-place style invoice maker, with one button PDF generation and localStorage for everything. Aside from the PDF generator step, everything is jQuery powered and there is effectively no backend. This is (I suppose) an Alpha version, only really tested on webkit (iPad, Safari, & Chrome). Feedback would be great: it's my first foray into web app development and I'm finding it hard to look at the page with fresh eyes—although I have my doubts about its usability in certain areas! All comments are welcome. Part of me is tempted to attempt…

Hey HN! I've been working on Muxamp for over a year now, and I decided that there's no point in keeping the source closed. (I never planned on making money from it.) I've learned a lot since I started, and I hope others can benefit from its release--and perhaps teach me a thing or two as well :)

Hello everyone. I'm a relatively new developer and I started my first project to go full production recently. It is a directory of payment processors and payment service providers. It's free to use and gives detailed info on their pricing, business model, supported business types, available countries, prohibited businesses and high risk business support. So far only 40 have been added with more to come. And I allow processors to contact me so that they're details can be added to the database. I'll eventually automate this and add verification the months to come. I hope you'll find it useful.…

I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

Hi HN! My name is Yossi, and I'm a solo indie maker. SEO tools are super pricey and free tools often fall short, leaving most users to costly subscription-based tools. So, I built SEO Stuff, a keyword tool that uses a credit-based system for builders like me who use SEO more sporadically. Have a great day!

Been going for about three years now on the side, learned to code in Rails from Michael Hartl's book, got help from friends and have been getting tons of feedback. I find using Uservoice's idea generation tool was the best along with emailing all customers a few days after they register to get feedback. I also found that a good amount of people will sign up and abandon the site quickly and I'm going to put in a JQ tour to help guide people around the app. Also been testing out Olark to gauge converting users. Anywho, I just launched the latest, responsive Printavo update with has a ton of…

orignally shared this on startup school... i thought id' share it here. i'm using a `nocode communication tool` (a web-based interface... a single browser tab!) for all of these things: 1. landing page — the landing page is the product and i wanted for folks to feel "transported" right into the app without having to walk through a shitty b2b marketing-style content. this is akin to my experience back in the `BBS` days of the mid-90's where you were immediately into the app, community, and tool. no terms of service, no privacy policy. just pure, immediate value. 2. building community — we…

Built this at a Startup Weekend last November. We've been sitting on this code for months. Would love to have some people signup and throw us a little feedback. Clearly this isn't finished, but with a little crowd support, we could just wrap it up in a weekend. A few things: - Works with Youtube and Vimeo, probably a few others. - Web UI is still pretty sloppy - zero onboarding. sorry. - We have native iPhone and iPad clients that are a handful of bugs from being shipped. Anyone interested in beta testing them, shoot me an email at ddinch :at: gmail. We will beam you up via TestFlight (great…

Hey, this is a very basic MVP, tech-wise but the underlying business infrastructure runs deep. I have the relationships, my grand picture is to build a portal etc, where independent printers can bid on jobs, text alerts etc, but for now, I am doing things the old fashioned way, via email and phone calls. What are your guys' thoughts?

As a product manager I've used different feedback tools and almost never liked the design and experience of the widget. And pricing of some existing tools is just way too high, at least for indie makers or small businesses ($35 for 100 responses...). That's why I've launched Freddy Feedback (today!). You can find it on www.freddyfeedback.com. Curious to hear your feedback (very meta ;-)).
