    I have been taking Andrew Ng's Machine Learning course. The lecture module on Neural Networks ends with an intriguing video of the ALVINN autonomous car driving itself along normal roads at CMU in the mid 90s. I was inspired by that video to see what I could build myself. A link to my incomplete write up was posted a couple of weeks ago (ouch!) but I finally finished it and open sourced the code tonight (so you can build your own self driving car).     Combining (1) open-source autopilots with (2) open-source ROS2 simulation/navigation/mapping packages and (3) open-source, hardware-accelerated computer vision should not be hard, but it is. aerial-autonomy-stack aims to solve this by collapsing (1) multi-robot, (2) software-in-the-loop, (3) hardware-in-the-loop simulation, (4) CI/CD, and (5) deployment into a single containerized workflow. The end-to-end stack can be re-created/simulated with a one-liner (45') build on Ubuntu >=22.

    A little game I made to show off an old project. The functionality of the CPU is derived entirely from simulated logic gates. All the operations and control flow are based on the underlying properties of the logic gates, and changing their operation leads to corresponding changes in function. The original game code is all python and it runs in the browser using wasm/pyodide. Not very mobile friendly

    We're building software that will allow robotics engineers to skip iterations by simulating designs, with optimal policies found by RL. This web app is a limited preview of some capabilities: you can input various robot specification and get navigation success metrics.
