Products that do what Repy – Terminal ePub reader with built-in TTS and dictionary lookup does

I built repy because I wanted to read EPUBs over SSH and in tmux without leaving the terminal. It started as a Rust reimplementation of epy (a Python CLI ebook reader), but has grown well beyond that. Features: vim-style navigation (hjkl, /, n/N, Ctrl+o/Ctrl+i jump history), bookmarks, table of contents, visual mode with yank-to-clipboard, regex search across chapters, and per-book width/position persistence via SQLite. Two features I'm particularly happy with: - Text-to-speech: Press ! and it reads the book aloud, sentence by sentence (~300-400 chars per chunk), with the…

I had a bunch of ebooks with no audiobook version available. So I built an iOS app that converts EPUB files into audiobooks using text-to-speech. Two voice options: - Free on-device voices (processed locally, no server needed) - Natural cloud voices (one-time purchase per book, no subscription) Cloud conversion runs chunk by chunk. You can start listening other chapters generate in the background. Once done, the audiobook lives on your device. No account required. No subscription. You import your own EPUBs and either use device TTS for free or pay per book for the cloud voices. Nothing…

After years of struggling with onboarding to new projects, I got tired of spending weeks just trying to grasp the basics of a codebase. The README rarely tells the whole story, and "just read the code" isn't practical for large repos. I built RepoIQ to create personalized learning paths through any GitHub repository. It analyzes the codebase structure, identifies key components, and creates a step-by-step guide tailored to your learning needs.

I’ve built a tool that allows you to convert any web content into an ebook with just a few clicks. The idea came from my need to frequently save articles or web pages as ebooks for offline reading and sharing. However, I found existing tools either too complex or lacking flexibility, so I decided to create something simpler, faster, and that supports both EPUB and PDF formats. Key Features: - Quick Conversion: Input a list of URLs, with each URL treated as a chapter, and the tool will automatically generate an ebook in either EPUB or PDF format. - Content Optimization: It automatically…
