Products that do what Review My Manuscript does
AI pre-review before you submit your scientific paper
- 1AP
After waiting 8 months for a journal response or two months for co-author feedback that consisted of "looks good" and a single comma change, we built an AI-powered peer review system that helps researchers improve their manuscripts rapidly before submission. The system uses multiple specialized agents to analyze different aspects of scientific papers, from methodology to writing quality. Key features: 24 specialized agents analyzing sections, scientific rigor, and writing quality // Detailed feedback with actionable recommendations. // PDF report generation. //…

Understanding scientific articles can be tough, even in your own field. Trying to comprehend articles from others? Good luck. Enter, Now I Get It! I made this app for curious people. Simply upload an article and after a few minutes you'll have an interactive web page showcasing the highlights. Generated pages are stored in the cloud and can be viewed from a gallery. Now I Get It! uses the best LLMs out there, which means the app will improve as AI improves. Free for now - it's capped at 20 articles per day so I don't burn cash. A few things I (and maybe you will) find interesting: * This is…

Almost one year ago I asked HN if anybody is interested to make a Web app to make reading and finding scientific papers smarter [http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1664648]. No one did, at least no one did what "I" think is the best way to approach this problem. A a few month ago I decided to do it myself.<p>Meet JournalClub iPad app (absolutely free), http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/journalclub/id443819334? I have a recommendation engine in the pipeline that I would introduce in the next update (hopefully in a month or so). I really appreciate any comments, feedbacks.

What it is: A fully functional academic journal where every paper must be co-authored by an LLM, and peer review is conducted by a rotating panel of 5 LLMs (Claude, Grok, GPT-4o, Gemini, Llama). If 3+ vote "publish," it's published. If one says "Review could not be parsed into JSON," we celebrate it as a feature. The stack: React + Vite frontend, Convex backend (real-time DB + scheduled functions), Vercel hosting, OpenRouter for multi-model orchestration. Each review costs ~$0.03 and takes 4-8 seconds. Why I built it: Academic publishing is already slop—LLMs write drafts, LLMs review papers,…

Hey HN, Over the last year, I’ve reviewed more than 1000 code changes. Most of the time was spent catching obvious mistakes rather than debating complex design decisions. If we estimate ~10 minutes per review, that’s 160+ hours spent reviewing code in just one year. So I thought: could I get some of that time back using LLMs? That's why I spent the last few weekends building Presubmit.ai, an open-source AI reviewer that runs as a Github Action right when you open a Pull Request. The results so far are promising: I estimate it can reduce the review time by 50%, which in my case would mean I…
