Run OpenClaw locally on your AMD PC

Hi everyone, I'm kinda involved in some retrogaming and with some experiments I ran into the following question: "It would be possible to run transformer models bypassing the cpu/ram, connecting the gpu to the nvme?" This is the result of that question itself and some weekend vibecoding (it has the linked library repository in the readme as well), it seems to work, even on consumer gpus, it should work better on professional ones tho

I built LocalGPT over 4 nights as a Rust reimagining of the OpenClaw assistant pattern (markdown-based persistent memory, autonomous heartbeat tasks, skills system). It compiles to a single ~27MB binary — no Node.js, Docker, or Python required. Key features: - Persistent memory via markdown files (MEMORY, HEARTBEAT, SOUL markdown files) — compatible with OpenClaw's format - Full-text search (SQLite FTS5) + semantic search (local embeddings, no API key needed) - Autonomous heartbeat runner that checks tasks on a configurable interval - CLI + web interface + desktop GUI - Multi-provider:…

Try it out! https://glhf.chat/ Hey HN! We’ve been working for the past few months on a website to let you easily run (almost) any open-source LLM on autoscaling GPU clusters. It’s free for now while we figure out how to price it, but we expect to be cheaper than most GPU offerings since we can run the models multi-tenant. Unlike Together AI, Fireworks, etc, we’ll run any model that the open-source vLLM project supports: we don’t have a hardcoded list. If you want a specific model or finetune, you don’t have to ask us for it: you can just paste the Hugging Face link in and…

Our company Vertex.AI has been working on this for a while but this is the first public release. We're starting with using PlaidML to bring OpenCL support to Keras and more frameworks, platforms, etc are coming. Yes, this means you can use use your AMD GPU for deep learning dev. Sorry, no Mac or Windows support yet although the brave can try building from source (it should work). http://vertex.ai/blog/announcing-plaidml https://github.com/plaidml/plaidml

Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5uygzEmdLw Hi HN, I built a RISC-V emulator that implements the RV32IM instruction set and a minimal syscall interface to run DOOM. A few weeks ago, I got my first output with a simple hello world assembly program. Since then I have been working tirelessly to get DOOM to run. I needed to figure out how to run C programs first, and came across newlib, which allows the underlying environment to implement the syscall stubs one by one until the programs run. I have also added ELF loading, but currently only a single `PT_LOAD` segment is…

One of the most frequent questions one faces while running LLMs locally is: I have xx RAM and yy GPU, Can I run zz LLM model ? I have vibe coded a simple application to help you with just that. Update: A lot of great feedback for me to improve the app. Thank you all.

Hi HN, I’m the creator of pycoClaw. I wanted to run OpenClaw-class, platform-agnostic, autonomous agents on MicroPython hardware, but standard tools couldn't handle the scale of the task. pycoClaw is the result, which bridges the gap between high-level AI reasoning and bare-metal execution. The Stack: - PFC Agent (~26k LOC): A full-featured agent that uses an LLM to 'self-program' its own local MicroPython scripts. Once a task is solved, it runs locally without requiring the LLM. - ScriptoStudio IDE: A PWA https://scriptostudio.com designed for the iteration speed required by…

Clawbernetes turns OpenClaw into an AI-native infrastructure manager. Instead of YAML, Helm charts, and kubectl — you have a conversation. "Deploy Llama 70B on the node with the most VRAM" → agent selects the best node, pulls the image, starts the container with GPU passthrough, sets up health monitoring. "Why is inference slow?" → checks GPU temps, VRAM, CPU load. "GPU 0 at 89°C — thermal throttling. Want me to reduce batch size?" 23 crates, 74K lines of Rust, 1,866 tests, zero unsafe in core. Supports CUDA, Metal, ROCm, Vulkan, and CPU SIMD. Components: - clawnode: node agent with 80+…
