Products that do what Syne – AI agent that remembers everything, built on PostgreSQL does

I built Syne because I was tired of AI assistants that forget everything after each conversation. Syne is a self-hosted AI agent framework where memory is a first-class citizen — stored as semantic vectors in PostgreSQL, searchable across millions of entries, and persistent forever. Key features: - Unlimited persistent memory with semantic search (pgvector) - Anti-hallucination: only stores user-confirmed facts, auto-deduplicates - Self-evolving: creates new abilities at runtime without restart - Multi-model: switch between Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude mid-conversation - True $0/month setup:…

Hi HN - I'm Venkat, founder of Stayflexi (YC), CMU CS grad and Ex-Oracle Query Engine team (patents in core databases) DeepSQL started as an internal tool to stop our own databases from becoming the bottleneck they were becoming (13,000+ hotels in production). It worked well enough that we're releasing it. DeepSQL is an AI agent that operates a database the way a senior DBA and Data Engineer would 1. Fixes slow queries (we cutdown DB spend by 4x) 2. Fixes DB bloat (blocks unnecessary schema changes, in vibecoded setup) 2. BI dashboards(we removed spend on tableau, retool and appsmith) 3.…

I've been working on Polign and built a small prototype around something I've been thinking about with agent memory. I have built a lightweight/stateless vector db + BM25 search which works really well with typed facts and structured queries. It uses your own S3, or GCS bucket as primary storage, and restarting a node is fairly quick. Hey HN! We're Vasilije, Laszlo and Lazar, the authors of a new paper and part of https://www.cognee.ai. cognee let’s you build memory layers for AI applications and agents, allowing them to personalize results, connect various data sources, and add custom rules. This enables AI apps to deliver increasingly accurate responses, we reached almost 90% on standard industry benchmarks as you can see here https://github.com/topoteretes/cognee/tree/main/evals and our paper can be accessed at: https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.24478 and collab…

Hey HN, I pay for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and use Gemini through work. Four vendors, four separate conversation histories, four profiles of how I think. None of them talk to each other. Switch providers and you start over. So I built a system where the memory is mine. I run a knowledge graph in Postgres (Supabase, free tier) with pgvector for semantic search. A small MCP server reads and writes to it. That server sits behind an MCP Gateway on a $6/month VPS, along with Brave Search and a GitHub server. TypingMind connects to the gateway as a BYOK client -- any model, any device, same…
