I built this because I was always creating machines on GH actions to test builds on different OS, and I wanted a tight CLI that could do it. I always saw Actions as this great resources and ephemeral machines you could do dev work in just were a natural way for me to work, so this grew out of that workflow. I didn't expect it to blow up, so it wasn't 100% finished when I posted it. But it should stabilize pretty quickly. Happy to know what you think and talk about it.

Kshitij and Rahul here. We're building Playground, an open-source sandbox that lets your non-technical teams prototype directly on production codebases, without bugging you (developers) to spin up and maintain another repo. The repo is here: https://github.com/B1u3B01t/design-playground. We've been working together for six years. Last year we built an AI design agent because we thought designers were the biggest bottleneck. But we were wrong. After talking to teams, we realised designers, PMs, founders and even sales people all wanted to quickly change and explore flows…

I didn't realize Universe Sandbox ran on MacOS, and I was in the mood to play around a bit. Some functions it's got: - Random system generation - Sonification is super fun too - Habitability Simulation (Just for fun, don't cite this please) - Replacing, spawning, deleting objects I've had tons of fun building this, so I hope someone else can share the joy. It's free and runs in the browser. I'd love to hear any feedback. I think this is at a state where I might leave it as it is, but if people are interested in other features, maybe I'll keep working on it. I've kept saying I'll stop working…

I was frustated by having to draw system design diagrams by hand when discussing it with my team mates or in an interview. So I thought "Wouldn't it be great if someone draws it for me, while I think out loud?". That is when I came up with VoiceDraw. You can just think out loud or discuss your system architecture with a friend/interviewer, the diagrams are automatically drawn along with your reasoning, open questions and tradeoffs beautifully written on to the side. Hey everyone, We're excited to introduce MarinaBox, an open-source toolkit for creating isolated desktop/browser sandboxes tailored for AI agents. Over the past few months, we've worked on various projects involving: 1. AI agents interacting with computers (think Claude computer-use scenarios). 2. Browser automation for AI agents using tools like Playwright and Selenium. 3. Applications that need a live-session view to monitor AI agents' actions, with the ability for human-in-the-loop intervention. What we learned: All these scenarios share a common need for robust infrastructure. So,…

Many platforms exist for a candidate to practice leetcode style questions. Created one to practice and discuss system design problem statements. There is no auto evaluation as high level design is subjective, but we support upvotes/downvotes and a comment section for feedback and discussion. Looking for early feedback.

After countless (TRULY COUNTLESS) hours of manually seeding and resetting Salesforce sandboxes for our sales demos and integration testing, we couldn’t take it anymore. SandFaux started as an internal tool for this tedious process, but after a few customers asked for access, we decided to productize it & make it publicly available for anyone to use! This was really just the starting point for our internal tool. We want to also add: * Text Prompting for Scenarios * Custom Fields * Custom Configurations * Dynamic Data * More Integrations https://sandfaux.com

Hey HN, I built SuperHQ, an app that lets you run coding agents in local sandboxes (powered by Shuru). No custom UI wrapping the agents, they run as CLI/TUI like they were designed to. It just provides you the tools most of us (okay, maybe just me?) needed for running multiple coding agents in parallel without worrying about breaking your system or work environment. Each agent runs in its own microVM. You mount your projects in, writes go to a tmpfs overlay so your host is never touched, and you get a unified diff view to accept or discard changes. API keys never enter the sandbox, they…

Hi HN, This is a project I've been working on since the beginning of 2025 full time, without funding. Coding agents have fundamentally changed the way we write software. When you let an agent write code, pull dependencies, and run scripts, you are delegating trust while still keeping the responsibility. You shouldn't have to choose between moving fast with agents and maintaining basic control over your host machine. Normally, we just inspect the final result, treating the app like a black box. Most security tools only sandbox the app runtime and ignore the build phase. CapaKit is my attempt…
