Hi HN! I’m Anirudh — longtime lurker, first time poster, and I couldn’t be more excited to show you Stagehand. Stagehand is a TypeScript project that extends Playwright with three simple AI methods — act, extract, and observe. We’d love for you to try it out using the command below: npx create-browser-app --example quickstart Here’s a sample workflow: const stagehand = new Stagehand(); await stagehand.init(); // Stagehand overrides the Playwright Page and Context classes const { page, context } = stagehand await page.goto("instadash.com") // Regular Playwright…

I created this tool a few months ago to automate some of my tasks. I use it to collect prices and files and to get notified when something changes on certain websites. The task runner uses Playwright. I'm not sure if it can be useful to anybody else besides me :) Any feedback is welcome.

I got tired of playwright-mcp eating through Claude's 200K token limit, so I built this using the new Claude Skills system. Built it with Claude Code itself. Instead of sending accessibility tree snapshots on every action, Claude just writes Playwright code and runs it. You get back screenshots and console output. That's it. 314 lines of instructions vs a persistent MCP server. Full API docs only load if Claude needs them. Same browser automation, way less overhead. Works as a Claude Code plugin or manual install. Token limit issue:…

Hey folks, today we at Currents are releasing a brand new AI skill to help AI agents be really smart when writing tests, debugging them, or anything Playwright-related really. This is a very comprehensive skill, covering everyday topics like fixing flakiness, authentication, or writing fixtures... to more niche topics like testing Electron apps, PWAs, iFrames and so forth. It should make your agent much better at writing, debugging and maintaining Playwright code. for whoever didn't learn about skills yet, it's a new powerful feature that allows you to make the AI agents in your…

Hi HN fam! Hassy from Artillery (YC S21) here. Playwright got a lot of love on HN today [1] - rightfully so, it's an incredible project! - so I thought I'd resubmit [2] an open-source project that lets you run load tests with existing Playwright scripts. GitHub link: https://github.com/artilleryio/artillery-engine-playwright The basic motivation for creating the project is that load testing complex web apps is a real pain in the ass. It takes ages to build out test scripts for a non-trivial web app with traditional API-oriented tools. If you've ever had to do it, you know…

Libretto PR agents is a free TypeScript library for maintaining Playwright browser automations. Add one line of code to your existing Playwright scripts and it lets an agent automatically open GitHub PRs fixing the script when it fails. A few months ago we released Libretto, a CLI + coding-agent skill for building deterministic browser automations. The idea was that for many browser workflows, especially repetitive business workflows, you don’t need an AI agent making decisions at runtime. You want deterministic Playwright scripts that are inspectable, faster to run, and much cheaper than…

Spelltest framework simulates conversations between AI ‘synthetic users' in an environment to test and refine LLM-based applications. It ensures your app converse with utmost accuracy and relevance. Post-chat, Spelltest assesses responses, providing qualitative and quantitative feedback on performance. Suitable for both chat and completion modes. When to use: - After modifying your prompt. - When your LLM provider updates. - As a CI step for you repo. All feedback and collaborations appreciated!

Write a task in plain English. An AI agent runs it on a simulator on your Mac and tells you if a real user could complete it. Save the successful run as a regression check you can replay later.
