After 17 years of work with drives, I got tired of seeing simple disk operations locked behind paywalls. Macrium killed their free version, EaseUS hides cloning in paid tiers, and so on and so forth. Another reason is that all the existing solutions are overly complicated. It must be simple enough for my mum to start erasing a USB stick or making a full drive backup.
