Portal▲181Hey HN, I'm Zach, founder of Portal. Portal lets you share a live sandbox browser session as a link. Try it here: https://www.makeportals.com/try Instead of asking someone to sign up, install software, or book a demo for user research, onboarding, or sales, you send a link and they interact with the real product in a sandboxed browser environment, then you get session replays. Each viewer gets a fresh remote browser instance that starts from a defined state (URL, cookies, extensions, local files, etc). Sessions are isolated and expire automatically. The sessions have…

My company launched a new open source web browser built on Chromium. It supports decentralized domains on Handshake and is the first browser to support .eth DNS. It is also the first browser to support secure web browsing with DANE. Check it out: https://impervious.com/beacon https://github.com/imperviousinc/beacon

I built this tool because I wanted a way to just take a bunch of URLs or domains, and query their content in RAG applications. It takes away the pain of crawling, extracting content, chunking, vectorizing, and updating periodically. I'm curious to see if it can be useful to others. I meant to launch this six months ago but life got in the way...

I've been a bit obsessed with the idea of flipping through the internet a bit like you would a magazine, of undirected browsing as a discovery mechanism, and I think I'm approaching something that's beginning to feel pretty fun. The link at the top will return results out of a pool of approximately 10,000 domains, you can refresh to get new ones. You can also explore in a directed fashion by using the 'Similar Domains'-buttons. These are not random. I'm launching Wirewiki.com today! Wirewiki makes the internet’s hidden infrastructure browsable. I quit my job 5 years ago to scale Nslookup.io. But after reaching 600k monthly users, I hit a ceiling. I couldn't naturally expand beyond DNS because of the domain name. So I went back to the drawing board: how would I make it today? Not as a collection of tools, but as a browsable graph. I've spent hundreds of hours and commits building that. It's not even at 10% of what I want it to be, but more than enough to be useful, and (in my biased opinion) much better than what's out there. Wirewiki…

Edgemetry▲99I've been building a lot of landing pages and small sites lately, and i wanted analytics on them. Google analytics was the obvious first option, but i didn't want it for privacy reasons. Also, some privacy blockers block them. Plausible was the next best thing, but having a VPS for sites which that doesn't get too much traffic, felt too much. So i built Edgemetry. Its a worker, a bit of frontend, and a D1 database. Everything runs in Cloudflare's free tier. If you've got a site that doesn't get ton of traffic but you still wnat to see your visitors and their actions, give it a go.
