I got tired of playwright-mcp eating through Claude's 200K token limit, so I built this using the new Claude Skills system. Built it with Claude Code itself. Instead of sending accessibility tree snapshots on every action, Claude just writes Playwright code and runs it. You get back screenshots and console output. That's it. 314 lines of instructions vs a persistent MCP server. Full API docs only load if Claude needs them. Same browser automation, way less overhead. Works as a Claude Code plugin or manual install. Token limit issue:…

Hey HN! I built Retain as the evolution of claude-reflect (github.com/BayramAnnakov/claude-reflect). The original problem: I use Claude Code/Codex daily for coding, plus claude.ai and ChatGPT occasionally. Every conversation contains decisions, corrections, and patterns I forget existed weeks later. I kept re-explaining the same preferences. claude-reflect was a CLI tool that extracted learnings from Claude Code sessions. Retain takes this further with a native macOS app that: - Aggregates conversations from Claude Code, claude.ai, ChatGPT, and Codex CLI - Instant full-text…

At my work they provided a single Claude subscription for everyone on the team. To be honest I like kiro better as it provides a way better SDD management. But the company can't provide it and I can't afford it yet. Turns out I had the skill creator skill in my claude instance so I made use of it to create this Skill. I made it fully by using Claude but I wanted to make it open source, so I asked it to help me make tests and preparations for it, even a CI to run python tests. Well, we got this results with it: - Phase 2A: 67 static assertions (Python script, runs in CI) - Phase 2B: 15…

We built an open-source library of 125 GTM (go-to-market) skills that plug into AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. With these skills an AI agent can automatically: - Find ICP leads from conference speakers, LinkedIn activity, or job boards - Generate personalized cold email sequences - Monitor competitor blogs, pricing pages, and hiring signals - Generate programmatic SEO pages from keyword lists - Track where your brand appears in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude answers --- How skills work Each skill is a structured markdown file containing instructions, scripts, and tool…

I use Claude Code across multiple projects with different conventions and some shared repos just as it so happens to be the real world. Managing the config files (.claude/rules/, mcps.json, settings.json) by hand got tedious, so I built a local web UI for it. This one started out as claude-config but migrated to coder-config as I'm adding others (Gemini, AG, Codex, etc). Main features: - Visual editor for rules, permissions, and MCP servers - Project registry to switch between codebases - "Workstreams" to group related repos (frontend + API + shared libs) with shared context -…

Creating high-quality skills for Claude manually is complex, requiring specific technical knowledge of the file system structure (like SKILL.md), YAML metadata configuration, and precise prompt engineering to ensure the agent behaves correctly. MakeSkill eliminates this friction by automating the technical implementation. Instead of writing code and configuration files from scratch, users interact with MakeSkill's AI to refine their ideas. The platform then generates the complete, optimized skill package—following all best practices—ready to be downloaded and imported directly into Claude…

At my last company, we connected Claude Code and Cursor to almost all our internal services via MCP. It made the team incredibly fast, but we hit a wall: permissions. If you give an agent "Read Only" access, it can’t actually fix anything. If you give it "Write" access, it’s only a matter of time before a hallucination or a bad prompt results in a deleted database or a nuked production bucket. We had a few "close calls" that convinced us that simply reducing IAM permissions makes agents useless. I built Armour (https://github.com/fuushyn/armour) to solve this. It’s a…
