Products that do what Trending GitHub Repos by Language with Grapevine does

I have a hard time finding new, awesome open source repositories on GitHub for the languages I use. So I decided to scratch an itch. My project is called Grapevine. It aggregates mentions of GitHub repos on Twitter and filters them by language. I'm aggregating the top 15 languages on GitHub right now. Some of the languages include JavaScript (@github_js), Ruby (@github_rb), Python (@github_py), Emacs Lisp (@github_el), and Haskell (@github_hs). If you want to know more, here's the project's site. http://grapevine-project.info Let me know what you think!

Several months ago, I built a "stealth" feature that I could use. It hasn't been advertised, and I've been the only user. As I find it useful for myself, I believe others (software developers) may like it too. So, this is the first public post about it, and if it gets any positive feedback, I may put some time into promoting it more. In essence, given that you've opened a GitHub repo (there are ~225k of the more popular ones indexed as of now), you can replace "github" with "libhunt" within the URL, and you will find the top alternatives and related projects. For example, here are three…

Over the past few weeks I've been working on a small application to view trending repos on GitHub. I built the PWA[1] with React, Next.js and GraphQL .. but what's interesting is the application is only using React server side, meaning the client side javascript is only a few lines code adding some event listeners and registering a service worker for offline capability. This helped me achieve a perfect google chrome performance audit I learned a ton working on it and would love to talk about it if anyone has any questions! Since everyone seems to be making a github application, I thought I'd share mine. It's an aggregated view of all of a given person's github projects, as well as easyish lookups for linkedin/stackoverflow/hackernews. It attempts to determine both productivity (how much code did this person write?) as well as impact (did anyone care?) I'd love any feedback, but go easy on the number of simultaneous searches as I'm trying to play nice by github's api limits. check it -- http://www.gitalytics.com
