Nango (https://github.com/NangoHQ/nango) provides pre-built OAuth flows, secure token storage and automatic refreshes for 40+ APIs and counting. Why we built Nango: We built Nango to solve the pain of accessing OAuth APIs. Despite OAuth being a standard protocol in theory, it remains a major burden to implement it, even with the help of a library. You still need to add endpoints and logic to your app for the server-side dance, implement token refreshes, build & secure your token storage, deal with redirects on the frontend etc. But the worst part is that (almost) every…

Hey HN! I've been building random tools whenever I needed them over the past few months, and now I have 177 of them. Started because I was tired of sketchy converter sites with 10 ads, so I just... made my own. Some highlights for the dev crowd: Developer tools: - UUID Generator (v1/v4/v7, bulk generation): https://calcbin.com/tools/uuid-generator - JWT Generator & Decoder: https://calcbin.com/tools/jwt-generator - JSON Formatter/Validator: https://calcbin.com/tools/json-formatter - Cron Expression Generator (with…

eno [1] - A modern plaintext language w/ libraries [2] for JavaScript, Python, Ruby & soon more! We migrated a big relational research database to a file-based solution - requirements were: - Super fast and easy editability for users - Highest performance for parsing/validating >10K documents on every user change. Our trials with YAML/TOML showed us that we wanted something both faster [3][4] and easier [4], something tailored for file-based content management ... and after months of research & development it's now publicly available (under MIT license) for everyone! Last but…

I wrote this tool during an internship at Narf Industries in 2023. It's a REPL that allows for quickly developing, testing, and fuzzing for HTTP request smuggling attack payloads. I started the internship having never worked with web servers, and have now found over 100 HTTP implementation bugs. I attribute this mostly to the ease of experimentation in the Garden. REPL-oriented fuzzing is just a really good interface for finding parsing bugs. It's pretty neat to able to run a differential fuzzer, categorize and display all the discovered discrepancies, then let a human pick through them and…

I’ve been experimenting with structured logic as a way to frame search spaces — not in an academic way, just as a personal project. I wanted to know: what happens if you initialize a brute-force run with a simple equality like xy = x / y? Not as a filter, just as a logical ignition point. I used AES-256-CBC encrypted files with UUID passwords and tested against a 1 million UUID space. It cracked it in under 40 seconds. Then I scaled it to a 1 billion UUID range, and it still found the key without issue. This isn’t a crypto tool, and I’m not trying to solve any cryptographic problems.…

This is an educational reference implementation showing how to build reasonably secure, standards-compliant authentication from first principles on Cloudflare Workers. Stack: Hono, Turso (libSQL), PBKDF2-SHA384 + normalization + common-password checks, JWT access + refresh tokens with revocation support, HTTP-only SameSite cookies, device tracking. It's deliberately minimal — no OAuth, no passkeys, no magic links, no rate limiting — because the goal is clarity and auditability. I wrote it mainly to deeply understand edge-runtime auth constraints and to have a clean Apache-2.0 example that…
