Hi HN, we (Rowan and Joerie) created Resize Control! It's our first project together so we are really excited to show you. Find it here: https://tuningwp.com/resize-control/#get The Problem Working at web design agencies, we constantly faced the issue of clients uploading massive images with wrong resolutions or aspect ratios. Especially for webshops, beautiful sites were ruined by bad images. Existing plugins didn’t let us customize settings based on post type or user role. Hi HN, I built a WordPress plugin called Bandwidth Saver. It takes the images your site already has and serves them through Cloudflare R2 and Workers, which means zero egress fees and extremely low storage cost. The goal is to make image delivery fast and cheap without adding any of the complexity of traditional optimization plugins. The idea is simple. WordPress keeps generating images normally. The plugin rewrites the URLs on the frontend so images are served from a Cloudflare Worker. On the first request, the Worker fetches the original image and stores it in R2. After that, Cloudflare’s…

Hey HN I built ResizeImage.dev that runs 100% client-side — nothing gets uploaded, and it’s instant. What it does Resize, crop, and optimize images directly in your browser Supports JPG, PNG, WebP Works offline (PWA-ready) No tracking, no server, no data collection How it works It uses the Canvas API and WebAssembly codecs to process everything locally. All transformations happen in-memory, so no files ever leave your machine. Why I built it I needed a simple, no-BS way to resize images for web and social media — something fast, private. Try it https://resizeimage.dev Feedback…

Hi, Firstly, the link to the tool - https://github.com/DrRoach/DynamicImage I created a dynamic image sizing tool that allows images of any size to be generated on the fly. It's aims are as follows: a) Allow users of sites to upload images of any size without the site owner having to worry about their dimensions or having to resize them. b) Reduce load times for sites as images can be stored on their own dedicated server and be served in milliseconds. I'd love to hear some feedback as to what you think and whether you'd consider using this tool and if not, why not? All…

The one-day journey Morning: I wrote down the idea — “resize multiple images in bulk, no upload” Evening: I deployed it, registered a domain, added PWA support so users can “install” it on desktop, and pushed it live: https://bulkresizeimages.online/ The entire flow — idea → refine → code → deploy → domain → launch — took about 12 hours. Building it reminded me how fast you can move when you keep things simple and focus. now its launched on https://www.producthunt.com/products/bulkresizeimage-online
