Products that do what WealthYogi - Net worth Tracker does
Hey everyone I’ve been on my FIRE journey for a while and got tired of juggling spreadsheets, brokers, and bank apps — so I built WealthYogi, a privacy-first net worth tracker focused on clarity and peace of mind. Why Like many FIRE folks, I was juggling spreadsheets, bank apps, and broker dashboards — but never had one clear, connected view of my true net worth. Most apps required logins or shared data with third parties — not ideal if you care about privacy. So I built WealthYogi to be: Offline-first & private — all data stays 100% on your device Simple — focus purely on your wealth…

Hi HN, Today I'm launching the Net Worth Tracker by Flow Finance, a beautiful and minimalist Excel template that allows individuals to track their assets, liabilities, income, and spending on a monthly basis. The focus of this template is understanding long-term trends in the incoming and outgoing expenses for an individual—always with a focus on maximising insights while minimising user inputs. This project was created because the alternatives, frankly, are completely overwhelming. A friend of mine introduced me to the FIRE Movement and, after doing deep dives through Reddit, I tried to…

Most retirement calculators either oversimplify things or ask you to link your accounts so they can make money off your data. I wanted something that actually helped me see if I was on track without handing over a bank login, so I built RetireNumber. It's a privacy-first retirement planner. You type in your own numbers. No account linking, no selling your data, no VC. Just me and a subscription. The engine does real math: Monte Carlo with 1,000 runs, historical backtesting to 1928 using Shiller's Yale data, tax-aware withdrawal strategies, and scenario comparison so you can try different…

I'm Canadian, live abroad, and my money is scattered across two countries, multiple currencies, banks, brokerages, real estate, and some private equity. No app could hold all of it, and none could answer a simple question like "what's my actual USD exposure?" Brisa pulls everything together (Plaid + manual accounts + real estate + PE, all multi-currency) and puts an AI on top that has my full financial picture in context. Instead of clicking through charts, I can just ask. Would appreciate any feedback!

It's at http://finkin.com. The goal is to allow a developer to sign up in seconds, and within minutes begin querying data. It runs under https and stores no access information. From http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1431583, I realized that all those types of sites are not tailored to developers like the other simple APIs around the web are (i.e. flickr). I made mine as simple as I thought possible. From http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1676458, I realized that eventually it should be a scalable model where you pay pennies per the # of requests you make. Right now it supports many…
