To me it seemed like the closest thing to an English version of Kanji and it would be cool to consistently recreate those patterns. It is a passkey system, similar to Apple Passkeys or a Yubikey, but it is entirely software based so you can sync credentials between devices. Passkeys (and FIDO devices in general) allow you to use public keys instead of passwords or codes to authenticate. I recently dug my Nintendo GameCube out of storage to revisit the first Animal Crossing game. I was building a program that needed to allow a user to set a hotkey but the program lives in the taskbar so there's no UI. I decided what I would do is enable the caplock key when they click "Set Hotkey" and then they can disable the caplock key (or set it to its initial state, rather) to indicate they have finished.
