AI OAuth SDK
Let your customers bring their own AI subscription
AI OAuth SDK launched on August 7, 2026 with 3 votes, #2,940 of 23,274 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.
What it does
Let your customers bring the AI subscription they pay for. Think BYOK, but they sign in with the plan they already have instead of pasting a key. ai-oauth-sdk runs the providers' real OAuth flows, the same ones their official CLIs use. The token stays on their device, so you never hold a key or pay for their inference. Eight providers: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Qwen, OpenRouter, Azure. Zero dependencies, MIT. Node, browser, React, Vue, Svelte, Solid, React Native, CLI.
Redirect, callback, token. Zero dependencies, eight providers built in, MIT licensed. Sign in with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Copilot from Node, the browser, React Native or the terminal.
Every AI CLI ships the same four hundred lines: mint a PKCE pair, open a browser, catch the loopback callback, refresh before expiry. This is those lines, extracted once, with the provider quirks already encoded. import { login, ProviderId, publicClientIds } from 'ai-oauth-sdk/node' // Opens a browser, catches the callback on 127.0.0.1, // and stores the token under ~/.ai-oauth-sdk. const { accessToken } = await login(ProviderId.OpenAI, { clientId: publicClientIds[ProviderId.OpenAI], }) import { loginWithPopup, ProviderId } from 'ai-oauth-sdk/browser' // From a click handler, or the popup is blocked. const tokens = await loginWithPopup(ProviderId.Claude, { clientId, redirectUri, scopes:…from ai-oauth.themonk.dev

OAuth for AI Agents2025 · github.com · ▲8I’ve been experimenting with AI agents lately, and one problem kept coming up: they either get a raw API key with full access or nothing at all. That’s risky, especially if you’re testing agents that can make arbitrary calls. So I hacked together a tiny package called Kage Keys - https://github.com/kagehq/keys It lets you wrap agent actions with scoped, short-lived tokens instead of handing over your real API keys. Example: ```js import { withAgentKey, getLogs } from "@kagehq/keys"; async function main() { await withAgentKey("github:repos.read", async () => {…
I built an open source computer-use SDK enabling agents to authenticate2025 · github.com · ▲19over this weekend myself and two of my friends took part in a hackathon and built this side-project. we have been diving into computer-use recently and developed an sdk to make it easy to implement for devs like us. one feature we were missing though, was the agent being able to log into services. anthropic understandably blocks this capability with their guardrails, and you wouldn't want your credentials to end up in any model context anyways. so we added a keychain service to the vm that the agent is using. it was built using the pass cli (https://www.passwordstore.org/).…
Companion2025 · aioscompanion.com · ▲20AI that actually controls your Windows/Mac desktop - clicks, types, automates workflows across any application. Native OS integration, not cloud APIs. Built this because I was tired of AI that could only chat. Free tier (Gemini) + paid tier (Claude) for reliable automation. The AI can automate complex workflows, manage files/emails, control browsers and native apps. Just launched 2 weeks ago. What workflows would you want automated?

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
