Aqura FX

Free, Web colour correction for underwater photos and video

Aqura FX launched on August 9, 2026 with 2 votes, #5,788 of 23,274 launches that month.

What it does

Aqura FX is a free browser-based tool for correcting the colours of underwater photos and videos. It was originally built for divers and photographers working around the Red Sea, where we constantly saw the same problem: the camera records the underwater environment very differently from how we remember seeing it. Aqura FX tries to bring those colours back.

Fix the colours of your underwater photos and videos free, right in your browser. No upload, no signup, no watermark — your files never leave your device. True-colour correction, wreck & low-visibility mode, backscatter removal, batch ZIP and social formats.

One tap brings back the colour the water stole — with AI that removes the water itself. Batch a whole dive to a ZIP , export corrected video , size it for Instagram & Reels , stamp your own watermark . Your files never leave your device . Or paste it with Ctrl+V — nothing uploads, everything stays on your device. The engine measures this water and restores the real colour automatically. Adjust anything you like, stamp your watermark, export for print or social. On-device AI measures every pixel's distance and removes the water itself — real colour at every depth. In beta: on some photos it over-reds or leaves a haze, so the normal enhancement stays the default. Enhance photos in one tap, or…from aquariusredsea.com

  • Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

  • Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
