What it does
Whether it is an audio or video file, microphone audio or real-time transcription, Audio Note can use the AI big model to transcribe it into text for you locally
A local-first transcription tool focused on realtime capture. Transcribe microphone, app audio, global system audio, and media files with realtime translation, Whisper, Sherpa, and other engine options for both lower-performance and high-performance devices.
Whether it's transcribe audio/video files, microphone audio, or real-time transcribe apps, Audio Note will transcribe to text exactly for you locally. Share Audio Note with friends. When they sign up, both of you receive extra trial time. Start from files, live audio, links, and automation, then move from capture to transcript to notes in one steady workflow. Drop local audio or video, keep the transcription settings visible, and let the local engine produce an editable note. Paste a supported video link, download the media locally, and generate a transcript with task history. Capture microphone, application audio, or system audio and turn the stream into saved captions. i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
