In plain words

Bored Hackers is a threaded, real-time chat community built into GitHub for developers. It provides a dedicated discussion space separate from issues and pull requests, allowing teams to ask questions, share ideas, and build connections alongside their code. The platform supports threaded comments, custom polls, and integrations via GraphQL API and webhooks, giving communities a customizable home for productive software collaboration.
