BreakoutList but for high-impact climate companies
"I'm a software engineer and I want to work on solving climate change - where do I start?" "I'm a software engineer and I want to work on solving climate change - where do I start?" A few months ago, I wanted to help my friends answer this question so I soft-launched a low-code version of climatetechlist.com. The site got more traction than I expected- at least two SWEs found jobs at climate tech companies so this week I launched a redesigned a better version One of the things I realized as a software engineer job seeker myself is that it can be hard to cut through the noise and understand what companies do, so my aim with ClimateTechList was to make that as clear as possible, inspired in part by breakoutlist.com To that end, the site currently has ~50 curated climate tech companies detailing, from interviews with the companies, what they work on exactly, what their climate impact (i.e. greenhouse gas impact) is, and why software is important for their success. You can filter companies by location, stage, # employees, and climate vertical (i.e. clean energy or food & agriculture, etc.) Feel free to ping me if you're looking for a climate tech job and want some tips, I want to help as many software engineers to work on climate as possible!
