Brevoir
Know who you're backing before you write the first check
What it does
Most angel investors are making five figure decisions off a pitch and a gut feeling. Brevoir changes that. Upload a pitch deck or company URL and get institutional-quality due diligence back in under 2 minutes. Full breakdown of founder backgrounds, market validation, competitive intel and risk flags. No research team needed. Built for angels today and anyone evaluating startups tomorrow.

I used to work in VC and watched good teams lose months chasing the wrong investors. I’m building Evalyze to make the unglamorous parts faster and more precise. After sign-up (email only, no card) you can: - upload a deck or paste your site - get a ranked list of relevant VCs/angels with a short “why” for each What’s different: instead of dumping a big list, we try to explain why an investor fits based on stage, sector, check size, and portfolio patterns. It’s far from perfect and we want blunt feedback before opening wider. Limits to know: - newer funds and emerging managers can be…

Hey guys! Investor Scout (https://investorscout.co) is a categorized database of over 45,000 angel investors and venture capitalists. Finding the right investors to pitch your startup to––then finding the best way to reach out to them directly––is a nightmare. The data is spread out all over the internet, down the google rabbit hole, Twitter, LinkedIn, and AngelList. Research can take hundreds of hours on its own, not even counting the time it takes to actually reach out to investors, go through initial screens, get meetings, and finally close a round. Last year we launched…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
