Campaign Studio by CharGen
The campaign co-writer that can say "we do not know"
What it does
A writing room for tabletop GMs: campaign notes, session records, worldbuilding and an AI assistant in one place. It drafts, you decide. Nothing lands in your canon until you choose Insert, Replace or Apply. Answers cite your own notes, carry Known, Inferred or Proposed labels, and when the campaign genuinely does not answer something, the assistant says "we do not know" instead of inventing lore. Transparent gold pricing per run, and free accounts can try it.
Write RPG campaign notes and prep with sessions, lore, World Codex and a source-backed Campaign Assistant. Review every suggestion before it becomes canon.
Write campaign notes and prep, organise your world, and ask an Assistant that can show where every answer came from. Campaign Studio is the first-party workbench for the material already inside your campaign. It does not ask you to rebuild the world in a new database. Open the notes and folders you already use, write at full width, mention campaign records, add images and tables, and keep the Assistant beside the page. Leave the caret where the next line belongs or highlight the passage that needs work. Choose one focused action, read the proposal, then decide whether it enters the note. Studio reads the passage around the caret and the campaign facts that matter, then drafts the next beat…from char-gen.com

Hi HN! I'd love your feedback for this AI storytelling game. Remember when you used to read choose-your-own adventure books as a kid? We're trying to re-create that. The site lets you create adventures by seeding them with parameters that end up feeding LLMs: title, genre, writing style, etc. Once you've done that, you can play your book like a game: with custom chapters, illustrations, voice narration, choices, and dice rolls. We’re really into the idea of merging the open-ended generative AI with goal-directed story arcs that the game author can control. Everything is open source (links…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
