It uses Claude Code's native hook system over local WiFi and nothing leaves your network. I built this as a prototype for myself because I wanted to keep track of my sessions while looking at other things in and around the house and not wanting to use terminus. So thought it would be a fun thing to make as an experiment. When I got some nice reactions on it I thought I'd make it available for everyone. It's rough around the edges but it works.
