What it does
Clovie keeps a couple's life in one place: a shared calendar, a shopping list that sorts itself into aisles, a recipe book that fills the list, a training log and a cycle diary that stays between the two of you. No ads, nothing sold on, free in early access on Google Play.

A calendar you both write to, a shopping list either of you can add to, and a recipe book you keep together. We built Clovie for the two of us, to keep the training, the recipes and the shopping list in one place. We kept asking each other what we had on that week, so we put it in the app instead of asking. Each person has a colour, so you can tell whose event is whose without opening it. Whatever is already in the phone's own calendar shows up beside them, and Clovie only reads that calendar. It never writes anything back into it. Add something from the sofa and it is already there when the other one is standing in the shop. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
