A discipline tracker I built because I needed one myself

What it does
I built CommitOne to solve my own problem. I wanted a system that wasn't just a boring checklist, but actually felt rewarding. The core concept is simple: Turn daily habits into a visual heatmap (like GitHub). It includes: 1. A Focus Timer (with different modes) 2. XP/Leveling system 3. Insights to reveal your patterns It’s not perfect yet. I’m an engineer, not a designer, so I’m sure there are rough edges. I’m looking for feedback from other people who struggle with consistency.

A free minimalist daily habit tracker2024 · rdht.vercel.app · ▲158Hello. I was looking for a simple and clean habit tracker. I went through a few apps but felt they were missing something. I also had some time on my hands, so decided to make my own and share it in case anyone else likes it. Some of the supported features: Streaks based, track and beat your longest streaks Fully useable offline Freezes (similar to Duolingo's streak freezes) Visual map for tracking consistency Pause the app when you need a break or will be away For anyone curious about the tech stack: - React for frontend - Dexie cloud for storage and syncing - Vercel for hosting Link:…

A beautiful habit tracker using calendar heat maps with a built-in habit journal. Probably the best habit tracker you'll come across.

I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…
Neohabit – custom github heatmaps for X times per Y days activitiesFeb 2026 · github.com · ▲44Hey HN! I recently open-sourced a project that I came up with in the late 2022 and have been working on and off since. It's taken around a year or so of active development in total. My problem with habit-trackers is that they're all the same. All of them basically allow to track only one thing - X times per 1 day. That's very rigid and goes against my instinct to ease into new things. I wanted something that's flexible, self-sustainable, and wouldn't require a lot of maintenance. After a bit of tinkering I came up with something novel - adjustable habit frequencies. And made all the custom…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
