Docker Compose UI for building and sanity-check infra stacks
What it does
Compote lets you build and manage Docker Compose setups through a point-and-click UI and export a ready-to-deploy ZIP bundle. Features: * Validation — real-time rule-based checks catch misconfigured services before you deploy * Connectivity tracking — detects port conflicts, missing network links, unresolved service dependencies, and cross-project collisions * Visual service editor * Import Your own infra * Built-in library and registry search * Multi-host management

docker-compose is great for single node docker deployments, but it doesn't have a feature that would allow zero downtime deployments. It's not possible to deploy often if your app goes down every time, and using Kubernetes/Nomad/Swarm on a single node is an overkill. I created this Docker plugin to be a drop-in replacement for the restart command in usual docker-compose deployment scripts. It performs a simple rolling deployment of a single service.
- DFDepot – fast, remote Docker container builds2022 · depot.dev · ▲141
Hey HN! We’re Kyle and Jacob and we are excited to show you Depot (https://depot.dev) and get your feedback! Depot is a hosted Docker container build service, providing fully managed remote builds from CI and from your terminal. We support both Intel and Arm builds natively. As application and platform engineers, we have experienced the challenge of keeping Docker container build times fast. From optimizing and reoptimizing Dockerfiles, to implementing layer caching in CI, to running & maintaining custom runners for multi-platform images. Still today, there are limitations with the…
- DDDCPM – Docker Compose Package Manager2020 · ▲59
Hey y'all, I've been using docker compose a lot in my local network, and managing setup between machines is a bit of a pain in the ass for me. I wanted an easy way to share complex configurations. At the moment most docker compose package management is done by adding a docker-compose.yml to your repo, adding a bunch of setup instructions, and hoping they are well followed. This didn't feel like a smart way to go about it to me. I wanted to create a way to create a complex package, say a series of related or linked services, and provide some meaningful way to have users install it. That's why…

- CCContainer-compose – A Docker-compose like tool for Apple containers2025 · github.com · ▲59
Hey HN, recently Apple release their own container manager tooling, but it's missing a "compose-like" tool. I'm building this CLI as a side-project and a way to help on the usage with the main tool. It's in a early version, then at the moment I'm trying to be as much as possible compatible with `docker-compose` config file, and in the current version we're supporting two commands: `up` and `down`.

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
