Dengen Shrine – A privacy-focused digital Shinto ritual
Hi HN, I built "Dengen Shrine," a web-based experience of a traditional Japanese Shinto ritual. Key Features: Privacy by Design: Your "Kotodama" (messages/prayers) are never stored in any database. They exist only in the animation and vanish upon completion. No Login Required: You can experience the ritual instantly without an account. Digital Offering: For those who wish to support the project, I’ve integrated a "digital offering" (Osaisen) via Stripe. This is completely optional—you can experience the core ritual for free without any payment. It’s not a donation, but a paid digital…

What it does
Dengen Shrine: A beautiful, ephemeral digital Shinto ritual. Experience the ancient Japanese tradition of "Kotodama" (the spirit of language) on the web. Privacy by Design: Your prayers are processed in real-time. No databases, no logs. Zero Friction: No login required. Access your sanctuary instantly. Enhanced Prayer (Optional): Offer an "Osaisen" via Stripe for a solemn ritual to invite divine favor. Mindfulness: A serene space to release thoughts and find peace.
電言神社は、いつでもどこからでもオンラインで参拝できるデジタル神社です。あなたの願いを言霊として神前に届けましょう。
Since ancient times in Japan, it has been believed that words possess a soul. This is called "Kotodama" (Spirit of Words). Words spoken aloud and thoughts held in the heart become invisible forces that influence the world. Today, our words travel around the world through networks. Kotodama also dwells in those words flowing through the electronic sea. Dengen is the god who presides over this "Digital Kotodama". It is a vessel for prayers and wishes in the digital age. Dengen Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Dengen. Its blessing is the "Fulfillment of Heart's Desires". By putting your hidden wishes into words and delivering them to Dengen, you will be granted the power to take the first step…from dengen-shrine.com

Hi everyone! This is my first HN and I’m very new to the scene. My name is Min from Bangkok. At first, I just want to create a dead man's switch for personal use and for fun. then, I think about information that self destruct like a spy movie. after that, I try to come up with the better version of Privnote or Bitwarden with self-destruct and some kind of censoring or blocking download ability. Somehow, end up with this product. :O Flashpaper is for sending any information that would be burned after reading (with counting down timer like Mission Impossible movie ! or after 24 hrs max if not…
ToolKuai – Privacy-first, 100% client-side media toolsJan 2026 · toolkuai.com · ▲8Hi HN, I’m Linn, the creator of ToolKuai (https://toolkuai.com). I wanted to build a suite of tools (Video/Image compressor, OCR, AI Background Remover) that runs entirely in the browser. No files ever leave your machine. The Tech Stack To make this performant enough to rival server-side processing, I leaned heavily into modern…

Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
