What it does
Dexie Cloud brings seamless two-way sync to Dexie.js, making offline-first development effortless. Build collaborative, multi-user apps with almost zero config—authentication, access control, and bidirectional sync included!
The fastest way to add sync, authentication, access control, and multi-user collaboration to your app. No backend needed. True offline-first. Start free, scale to millions.
Add sync, authentication, and multi-user collaboration to your Dexie.js app — no backend needed. The world's most developer-friendly offline-first sync platform. Start free. Building a multi-user app the traditional way requires months of backend work: REST APIs, authentication, sync protocols, access control, conflict resolution, server deployment, and database infrastructure. Dexie Cloud replaces all of that with a single addon. Install, configure, and ship. Auth, sync, access control, and offline support are all built in. npx dexie-cloud create 2 Install the addon Add the npm package to your project. npm install dexie-cloud-addon 3 Connect to cloud Three lines of config. Bi-directional sync between Postgres and SQLite2023 · powersync.com · ▲356Hi HN, Today we’re launching PowerSync, a Postgres<>SQLite bi-directional sync engine that enables an offline-first app architecture. It currently supports Flutter, React Native and web (JavaScript) using Wasm SQLite in the browser, with more client SDKs on the way. Conrad and I (Ralf) have been working on our sync engine since 2009, originally as part of a full-stack app platform. That version of the system is still used in production worldwide and we’ve learnt a lot from its use cases and scaling. About a year ago we started on spinning off PowerSync as a standalone product that is…

Talanoa▲341Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I was at FB/Meta from late 2013 to early 2023, mostly working in the compiler/runtime spaces. I got hit in the spring 2023 layoff wave. I immediately started making games in my newfound free time (a lifelong interest, and I even worked in AA(A?) back ca. ~2000), and in October 2023 I stumbled upon the idea of a roguelike pachinko/plinko game inspired by Luck Be A Landlord. Things snowballed quickly, I started talking to publishers, then worked like crazy through all of 2024, almost the hardest I've ever worked in my career, and launched the game in December 2024. It's sold…

i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
